Create a Job Requisition

A Job Requisition formally outlines the details and requirements for an open position within your company. Creating a Job Requisition in Pitch N Hire is the first step in the recruitment process, and it provides a clear picture of the ideal

Here’s how to create a Job Requisition in Pitch N Hire:

Access the Job Requisition Page

  • Once you’ve signed in to your Pitch N Hire account, locate the navigation bar on the left side of your dashboard. Look for the left-most vertical panel on the dashboard. Within this panel, directly below ‘Dashboard’, you’ll find the option labeled ‘Job Requisition’. 
  • Click on ‘Job Requisition’ to proceed.

Initiate the Creation Process

  • Locate the ‘+ Create Requisition’ button in the upper right corner of the Job Requisition page and click on it. This will open a pop-up form where you will input the job requisition details.

Enter Job Details

  • Job Title: Clearly and concisely define the job position (e.g., UI/UX Designer).
  • Department: Select the appropriate department from the dropdown menu (e.g., Marketing, Human Resources).
  • Location: Specify the job location by selecting the country, state, and entering the city.
  • Hiring Manager: Indicate the name of the hiring manager responsible for the position.
  • Requisition Owner: This field will be automatically populated with the account owner’s information.
  • Employment Type: Choose the relevant employment type (e.g., Contractual, Internship) from the dropdown options.
  • Job Expiration Date: Set a deadline for the job requisition by selecting a specific date from the calendar.
  • Experience Level: Specify the required experience range for the position (e.g., 3 to 5 years). The minimum amount entered must not exceed or be equal to the maximum amount.
  • Salary Range: Define the expected salary range for the role, including the minimum and maximum amounts. Select the desired currency pertaining to the country of operations (e.g., 10000 to 30000 INR). The minimum amount entered must not exceed or be equal to the maximum amount.

Note: To create a job requisition, you must be subscribed to an Enterprise Plan.

Review and Submit Your Job Requisition

Once you’ve completed all the required fields in the job requisition form, click the ‘Next’ button. This will bring you to a review page where you can verify the accuracy of the information you’ve entered.

The review page displays a summary of the job requisition details, allowing you to check for any errors or omissions before final submission.

  • Click the ‘Save’ button to finalize the job requisition and proceed to the next step in the recruitment process.
  • Click the ‘Back’ button to return to the previous page and modify the job requisition details as needed.
  • Click the ‘Cancel’ button to exit the creation process without saving any changes.

By carefully reviewing the information before saving, you ensure the accuracy and completeness of your job requisition.

View the Job Requisition List

Once you’ve saved a job requisition, it will appear in a list format on the Job Requisition page. This list provides an overview of all your created requisitions. It will be organized as per the following categorized details:

  • Job Title: The name of the position.
  • Job ID: A unique identifier assigned to the requisition.
  • Requisition ID: Another unique identifier for the requisition.
  • Date of Creation: The date when the requisition was created.
  • Department: The department associated with the position.
  • Status: The current status of the requisition (e.g., In Review, Approved, Rejected, On Hold).
  • Creator Name: The name of the user who created the requisition.
  • Quick Action Icons: A set of icons for performing actions on the requisition.

All newly created requisitions are set to ‘In Review’ by default. You can change the status using the quick action icon and providing a comment to justify the change. If a requisition is marked as ‘Requires Details,’ an email notification will be sent to the hiring manager.

Use the search bar located to the left of the ‘+ Create Requisition’ button to quickly find specific job requisitions by searching for their titles.

Understanding this overview of the job requisition list lets you efficiently manage and track the status of your open positions.
